Foul Bird
Jack gets a
parrot for his birthday. It has a bad attitude, and a worse vocabulary. Every other word
the parrot says is a curse. Jack tries changing the bird's attitude with soft music and
polite words, but nothing works. Out of frustration, Jack grabs the bird and throws it in
the freezer. It squawks, it kicks and suddenly it falls silent.
Jack, worried, opens the freezer door. The parrot calmly steps out,
“I believe I may
have offended you with my rude language and actions. I will endeavor at once to correct my
behavior.”
Jack is astonished at the change in the bird's attitude and is about to ask what caused it
when the parrot continues,
“May I ask
what the chicken did?”
