Requirement Of Your Faith?

A Catholic priest and a Jewish rabbi were traveling on a plane seated next to each other. They were aware of their respective calling in life and exchanged greetings.

After a while the priest turned to the rabbi and asked, Tell me Sir, is it still a requirement of your faith that you do not eat pork?
The rabbi responded,
Yes, that is still one of our firm beliefs.

The priest then asked,
Have you ever had the temptation to eat pork?
To which the rabbi replied,
Yes, on one occasion I did succumb, and I tasted pork.
The priest nodded his head in understanding and then went back to his reading.

After a while the rabbi turned to the priest and asked him,
Father, is it still a requirement of your faith that you remain celibate?
The priest replied,
Yes that is still very much a part of our faith.

The rabbi then asked him,
Father, have you ever fallen to the temptation of the flesh?
The priest replied,
Yes, rabbi, on one occasion I was weak, and I broke with my faith.

The rabbi nodded understandingly for a moment and then said,
A lot better than pork, isn't it?
