Free Cable Causes Smoking, Drinking & Weight Gain
Timothy Dumouchel, from West Bend, Oregon, blamed a cable TV company (Charter
Communications) for his television addiction - and his wife's 50-pound weight
gain.
Filing a small claims complaint, Dumouchel says his cable connection kept
working more than four years after he asked that it be cut off. After going
seven years without smoking & drinking, he claims that the four years of free
cable is why he now smokes and drinks every day and is addicted to TV - and why
his wife is overweight.
Now that the cable is finally off, Dumouchel says he bought an antenna and gets
five channels, which he says is enough. But not reason enough for his wife – she
is angry at him for blaming TV for her weight gain!
