Fly-ing Lesson
There was
once a happy little fly buzzing around a barn one fine day, when she happened upon a very
large pile of fresh cow manure. It had been a very, very long time since her last meal,
and the poor fly was very, very hungry so she flew down to the irresistible delicacy and
began to munch out. She ate...and ate... and then she ate some more!
Finally, she decided that she was full. She washed her face with her tiny front legs,
belched ever so delicately, then attempted to fly away. But alas... she had eaten so much
she could not get off the ground. She looked around, wondering what to do, when she
spotted a pitchfork leaning against the barn wall. Inspiration!!! With enough airspeed I
can fly again!
So she slowly and carefully climbed all the way to the top of the handle, took a deep
breath, spread her tiny wings and leaped confidently into the air... She dropped like a
rock and splattered all over the floor... Poor dead fly...
The moral of this sad story: Never fly off the handle when you know
you're full of crap...
