Election Time Again... Looking for an Alternative?

Tired of paying high taxes?
In Canada, for a person earning $100k/year, the "Tax Free Day" is July 2nd!  That's MID-YEAR just to pay your taxes, and that doesn't even include PST, GST, always-increasing gas taxes & ever-increasing added fees... If you want to calculate your own "Personal Tax Freedom Day", have a look at a Tax Free Day Calculator supplied by the Fraser Institute...

Thinks there's just too much government?
Need more of the Liberal scandals ($2 billion Gun Registration that was supposed to cost $1 million - when Paul Martin was finance minister; Health Care; Sponsorship/Patronage; Kyoto accord; & a federal deficit of $508 billion in 2003 with low inflation and low interest rates), or of the Conservatives (they left us a 1997 federal deficit of $560 billion after a period of  high inflation & high interest rates; Mulroney and his "Free Trade" agreement of 1987 - have you noticed any "free trade" lately?; and the intro of the added GST - Goods & Services Tax)...
PS: The U.S. Deficit doesn't look much better!

Think there are too many politicians?
Compare the size of the Canadian government with the U.S. government:
Total Government Spending as a % of GDP (2000  2001  2002)

Canada  41.2 41.7 40.6

United States  33.6 34.9 35.6

(i.e. in 2001, the size of the Canadian government was 20% larger than that of the U.S.!)

Time to 'download' & nano-size?
How about we nano-size the government - extend Gordon Campbell & Ralph Klein's examples of privatization by  privatizing all provincial and federal politicians - maybe then they'd become accountable, and real action-without-gross-spending would take place! And if the idea catches on, let's nano-size our bloated, non-elected 105-member Senate! And what about nano-sizing the present $35 million cost/year of our Governor General... I can hear it now - the chant is ringing in my ears, "NA-NO, NA-NO, NA-NO!"

Small is Beautiful - Vote for the Nano Party
(we're looking for 'small' supporters!)
