The Coxheath Players of Kent, England sent off for scripts from a Northampton
publisher. But when the scripts arrived, the cast and crew noticed something
amiss: the show was renamed to “Snow White”, with Dwarfs missing.
The little people were referred to as “guardians of the forest” or “gnomes”, and Bashful (referring to the “vertically challenged person with special confidence needs”) was renamed to Basher.
Political Correctness (PC) gone mad? Must have come from the same group that doesn’t
agree with the term “Indian Summer” – they prefer use of
“Aboriginal Equinox”.
Just another Dopey Summer in history... think Walt Disney would “get animated”
over this?
