Disaster Preparedness for the Lottery A lottery lobbyist defends the lottery
’The state of Oregon paid $124,700 to a Virginia firm for a disaster preparedness
plan that would keep the state’s lottery system active even in the event of an
earthquake.
A lottery spokesman defended the expenditure by stating the importance of
keeping the games up and running even during a natural disaster because it
generates $1 million a day in revenues for the state.
Hmmmm... a lottery lobbyist defending the lottery - what are the odds?
